How to Install Visual Studio Code on Windows (VSCode Installation)

  Download VSCode Installer

  • Visit the official website:
    visualstudio
  • Click the "Download for Windows" button.

  Run the Installer

  • Locate the downloaded .exe file (usually in Downloads folder).
  • Double-click the file to start the setup.

  Accept License Agreement

  • Select "I accept the agreement"
  • Click Next

  Choose Installation Location

  • Leave the default path (or choose a custom folder)
  • Click Next

  Select Additional Tasks (Recommended)

Add to PATH (important for terminal use)
Register VSCode as default editor
Add to right-click context menu
Install code command in PATH

              Then click Next

Click the Install button

Wait for setup to complete

  Launch VSCode

  Once installed, check “Launch Visual Studio Code”

  Click Finish
